You can name the Redemptorists as owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy and receive a deduction for the value of the policy. You can also name the Redemptorists as a secondary beneficiary for a life insurance policy. For example, you may wish to provide for a surviving spouse. However, if your spouse were to predecease you, then the Redemptorists would receive the proceeds.
