Named after St. Clement Hofbauer, C.Ss.R., considered the second founder of the Redemptorists, the St. Clement Health Care Center was built in 1988 and is located 25 miles south of St. Louis, MO, in Liguori. Rev. Ted Lawson, C.Ss.R. oversees a staff of 40 which includes nurses, nutritionists, physical therapists, housekeeping and maintenance personnel.

A visiting chaplain attends to the spiritual needs of our resident Redemptorists while doctors of varying medical disciplines make occasional “house calls” to attend to their physical needs.

The average age of our Redemptorists in residence at St. Clement’s is 80. Their needs range from assisted living to total care and at times hospice care.

The Redemptorists have a long tradition of caring for their old and sick members, dating back to their founding father, St. Alphonsus Liguori, C.Ss.R. Redemptorists would be expected to sell whatever they had to care for their brothers.
